We’ve been there for a couple weeks and things are finally looking up. It’s been a pretty long time since things have gone well for us, so it’s nice to not be completely struggling (we still can’t really afford food, but we’re getting there!). We’re even thinking about getting another dog so that Charlie can have a friend to play with! The main thing that’s changed recently though is the fact that I’m completely nocturnal now because he works nights. In a few months I’ll be back in school so I’ll have to shift my sleeping schedule…again. And I’m going for baking! Things are good.
Chocolate ramen is for when you need a serious sugar fix. Boil ramen in 2 cups of water with cup of brown sugar added. Pour off most of the water and then stir in teaspoon of vanilla and cup chocolate syrup. Pour onto serving plate and sprinkle powdered sugar over it. Garnish with whipped cream if you wish. Wash down with a tall glass of milk.

Really needed to read this.. I think I’m going to write it down somewhere once I get into my apartment (tomorrow! aah!). I’m going to school for baking next semester, which seriously scares me. It’s not exactly a huge money making field, but my boyfriend talked me into doing what I love rather than what I can make money at.

Me and Blake will be moving in on the 14th and there’s a gym and pool there so I’m going to get to work out everyday for free! Yippee! I’m going to get fit and life is going to be good. After a few months we’re going to sign up for a Shinkendo class (martial arts sword stuff) so that’ll be awesome too.
AND I bought healthy food today! Carrots (which I discovered that I’m allergic too apparently..), kiwis, spinach and strawberries! That’s all I could afford as of right now since we’re on an extremely fixed income.. But it’s a start!
